Which BCI and European case standards our packs use, the exact dimensions, and why the tray decides the pack.
A battery upgrade is a mechanical job before it is an electrical one. If the pack does not fit the tray and the terminals do not match the harness, the better chemistry is irrelevant.

Why Automotive Terminals Matter
The H7, H8 and automotive group 24 packs use car terminals because the vehicle harness is built for them and because they endure high output current with better heat dissipation. Adapting a lithium post to an automotive lug adds a joint, and joints are where high-current installations fail.
One Warning Worth Repeating
The automotive-case packs are energy storage batteries for low-speed vehicles, light EV, golf carts, solar and robotics. They are not cranking batteries. A case that fits the engine bay does not make a pack a starter battery, and using one for cranking is outside what these products are designed and rated for.
Above The Standard Cases
The 200Ah, 300Ah and 400Ah packs at 502x186x240 mm, 522x268x218 mm and similar are lithium-only formats with no lead-acid equivalent. They exist because at that capacity nobody is swapping a single battery - they are building a bank, and the locker dimensions are the real constraint.
Measure the tray internally, including any lip or strap, and send us the numbers. It takes a minute and prevents the most expensive mistake in a battery upgrade.
Questions On This Guide
Is group 24 the same as group 24 automotive?
Close but not identical in our range: the deep cycle version is 260x170x210 mm with lithium terminals, and the automotive version is 260x176x220 mm with car terminals. Check which one your application needs.
What if my tray is a non-standard size?
Send the dimensions. Case work is a normal ODM request, and we will tell you honestly whether it is worth the tooling at your volume.
Can I use a group 31 pack where a group 24 was?
Only if the tray has the room - group 31 is 70 mm longer and 30 mm taller in our range. Measure before ordering.
Do you supply terminal adapters?
Tell us the terminal you need at the enquiry stage and we will confirm what can be fitted at the factory, which is always better than adapting in the field.
