Evaporators and Concentrators
Removing water under vacuum before drying, at a fraction of the cost of drying it out.

An evaporator, also called a concentrator, handling 1000 to 30,000 L/H in SUS304, in falling-film, forced circulation and laboratory-scale versions. It sits upstream of the dryer on a powder line and upstream of the filler on a concentrate line, and it is the machine that decides the energy cost of both.

What This Group Is Built To Solve
Removing a kilogram of water in a spray dryer costs several times what it costs in an evaporator. Plants that dry straight from single-strength product are paying that difference on every kilogram of powder they make, every day, for the life of the plant. Concentrating first is the single largest energy decision on a powder line.
Who This Range Is For
Milk Powder Producers
Concentrating before the dryer is what makes powder production economic, and the evaporator type follows the product's heat sensitivity.
Juice Concentrate Exporters
Concentrate ships at a fraction of the freight cost of single-strength juice, which is the entire economics of the bulk juice trade.
Tomato Processors
Paste and ketchup production both depend on controlled evaporation to a defined solids content, using the forced circulation type.
What Makes This Range Different
Three Types for Three Products
Falling-film for thin heat-sensitive liquids, forced circulation for viscous and fouling products, and a laboratory concentrator for trials. The product decides, not the capacity.
Concentration Under Vacuum
Evaporating under vacuum concentrates at a lower temperature than atmospheric boiling, which is what protects colour and flavour in milk and juice.
Full Instrumentation Included
Siemens PLC and touch screen, temperature and pressure measurement, level switches, vacuum pump, centrifugal pump and condenser all supplied as standard components.
Designed to Client Requirements
The evaporator is designed around your feed and target solids rather than selected from a fixed range, because evaporation duty is specific to both.

Sizing a Fruit Processing Line Against Peak Intake
The harvest arrives in a window and does not wait. Every stage of this range is quoted in tonnes per hour so the whole line can be balanced against one number.
Evaporators and Concentrators Questions
What capacity is available?
1000 L/H to 30,000 L/H, customised.
Which evaporator type do we need?
Falling-film for thin, heat-sensitive liquids such as milk and juice. Forced circulation for viscous or fouling products such as tomato paste.
Can we trial a new product first?
Yes. A small-scale laboratory concentrator is available for product development before production scale is committed.
What control system is fitted?
Siemens PLC and touch screen with temperature sensors and gauges, pressure transmitter and gauge, and high and low liquid level switches.
What is the minimum order?
One unit, with 20 units per month production capacity.
Does it come with the vacuum system?
Yes. Vacuum pump, centrifugal pump and condenser are standard components.
