Unjacketed CAT5e Core for High Volume LAN Cable Production
The UTP CAT5e core is four HDPE-insulated pairs with controlled lay length and no outer jacket. It is bought by plants that jacket, print and package their own LAN cable, and it supports 100 MHz bandwidth and 1000BASE-T over 100 metres. Core OD runs about 4.6 to 5.2 mm, which is tight enough that a jacketing line can hold wall thickness at speed.
Semi-Finished LAN CableCAT5e Semi-Finished Cores
CAT5e remains the cost-effective choice for standard office and residential links, and buying the core keeps the finished cable competitive.
PVC for general indoor use, LSZH for fire-rated buildings under IEC 60332 or CPR Dca/Cca, PE for outdoor and direct burial.
Tight OD control and stable roundness keep concentricity high when the jacket line runs at speed.
Standard RJ45 plugs, keystone jacks and punch-down blocks all work with the finished cable.
Pair twisting and cabling is the slow stage in LAN production. Buying the core removes that bottleneck from your plant.
One core plus three jacket compounds covers general, fire-rated and outdoor markets without new cable designs.
Cores are supplied unprinted so the legend, batch code and compliance marks are applied by you.
No product certification is claimed for this item beyond the standards named in the specification table. Where a specific certificate is required for your market, ask before ordering and we will confirm what can be provided.

Figures are the published specification for this product. Values outside this table are confirmed in writing before order rather than estimated.
Conductors are insulated in HDPE and colour-coded, twisted into pairs with lay length controlled pair by pair, then shielded with foil and where specified a braid. Electrical performance is verified against the published limits before the core is reeled. The jacket is not applied.
Solid bare copper to IEC 60228 Class 1 insulated in colour-coded HDPE.
Pair twist pitch controlled per pair, which is what decides NEXT and PSNEXT margin.
Foil coverage and drain wire contact checked where the construction is shielded.
NEXT, PSNEXT, return loss, attenuation and delay skew checked against the published limits.
PE film-wrapped wooden drums, cores left unprinted for your own marking.
