CCA wire is an aluminium core with a uniform copper cladding, typically 8 to 40 percent copper by volume. It gives roughly 60 percent of the conductivity of pure copper at 30 to 50 percent less weight, which is why it dominates price-sensitive LAN, coaxial and speaker cable production. We supply it in the fine diameters used for braiding and stranding, wound on ABS reels sized for automatic machines.
