Solar collector circuits wind farm cabling and battery storage systems at 15 kV and 35 kV class

Renewable Energy

Industry Pain Points

What Goes Wrong in This Sector

Hundreds of Identical Terminations on a Compressed Schedule

A collector circuit is not one termination it is several hundred. Anything that adds five minutes per termination adds days to the programme.

Field Conditions Are the Worst Part of the Job

Tower bases trenches and inverter skids are dusty wet and often remote from any workshop.

Collector Voltage Has Moved up to Reduce Losses

Projects that were 15 kV are now 33 or 35 kV which changes the stress control grade and the insulation build.

Commissioning Delays Cost More Than the Whole Accessory Package

A single failed termination during energisation holds up an entire block.

Customer Requirements

What Buyers in This Sector Actually Need

  • A repeatable termination that a crew can build the same way three hundred times
  • Kits that ship complete so nothing is missing in a remote location
  • 35 kV class accessories with the correct higher permittivity stress control grade
  • Busbar insulation for the MV switchgear inside collector substations
  • Repair sleeves on site for the jacket damage that always happens during pulling

Typical Scenarios

Where These Products Are Installed

Solar Collector Circuit Terminations

Repeated single core and three core terminations at collector circuit breakers and inverter station switchgear.

Wind Turbine Tower Base Cabling

Terminations and multi core breakouts inside the tower where space and access are limited.

Collector Substation Switchgear

Insulated busbar and lap joint covers in compact 33 or 35 kV switchboards.

Battery Energy Storage Connections

High voltage copper bar protection between battery racks and power conversion systems.

Trench and Duct Joints

Straight through joints on collector cable pulled in sections across a large site.

Installation Damage Repair

Wraparound sleeves restoring jacket damage from pulling and backfill.

Solution Process

How We Work with This Sector

  1. 01

Take Off from the Single Line Diagram

Send the collector single line and cable schedule and we will build the accessory take off for the whole project.

  2. 02

Standardise on the Fewest Part Numbers

We consolidate the schedule so a crew carries three kit types not eleven.

  3. 03

    Sample and Method Statement

A trial kit plus an illustrated method statement your site team can attach to the RAMS pack.

  4. 04

    Staged Production Against the Programme

Deliveries phased to the civil and cabling programme rather than one large shipment sitting in a container.

  5. 05

    Site Support During First Energisation

Live WhatsApp support with our engineers during the first block of terminations.

  6. 06

    Spares Package at Handover

A defined spares holding sized against the installed accessory count.

Delivery Capability

What We Commit to

  • Project take off from a single line diagram and cable schedule
  • Phased deliveries aligned to the construction programme
  • Consolidated part numbers to reduce site stock and picking errors
  • Method statements suitable for inclusion in a site RAMS pack
  • Spares package quoted at handover

FAQ

Renewable Energy Frequently Asked Questions

Can you quote from a single line diagram
Yes. Send the collector single line and the cable schedule and we will return a full accessory take off with part numbers and quantities.
Which stress control grade do I need at 33 kV
C102-35 with a dielectric constant of 25 to 50. The 24 kV grade C102-10 does not grade the field far enough at that voltage class.
Can deliveries be phased against our programme
Yes. Phased delivery against a construction programme is normal for project work and avoids a container of accessories sitting on site for months.
Do you supply busbar insulation for the collector substation
Yes. S1-35 or the halogen free S1(n)-35 for the bar runs plus S1-B molded covers for the bolted lap joints.
What do we hold as spares
A common rule is two percent of the installed accessory count per part number with a minimum of two kits. We will size it against your schedule.
How fast can you replace a damaged kit during commissioning
Standard configurations ship in 5 to 10 working days. For a commissioning emergency tell us on WhatsApp and we will look at air freight.
