Industry Pain Points

What Goes Wrong in This Sector

Accessory Failures Show up as Unplanned Outages

A termination that starts partial discharging at the screen cut back gives no warning until it fails. The cost is never the accessory it is the outage minutes and the emergency crew.

Approval Evidence Takes Longer Than Procurement

Utilities will not accept an accessory without a full IEC 60502-4 or GB/T 12706.4 record. Suppliers who cannot produce one waste a whole tender cycle.

Legacy Cable on the Network Never Matches a Catalogue

Paper insulated cable odd conductor sizes and mixed screen systems all still sit in the ground and still need jointing.

Crews Work in Trenches Chambers and on Poles

Anything that adds steps mixing time or cure time on site translates directly into longer outages.

Customer Requirements

What Buyers in This Sector Actually Need

  • One accessory family that covers 0.6/1 kV through 26/35 kV so crews qualify once
  • Complete kits with a pack list rather than loose components that go missing
  • Test evidence against IEC 60502-4 and GB/T 12706.4 available before the tender closes
  • Components sold separately so non standard and legacy cable can still be jointed
  • Outdoor terminations that survive pollution flashover in coastal and industrial air

Typical Scenarios

Where These Products Are Installed

Ring Main Unit Terminations

Three core 15 kV XLPE into an RMU compartment where the termination has to be short and the cable box is crowded.

Overhead to Underground Transitions

Pole top terminations exposed to UV rain and airborne pollution with rain sheds sized for the local pollution class.

Straight Through Joints in Flooded Chambers

Feeder joints tested for 30 heating cycles under one metre of water at 2.5 U0.

Substation Transformer Tails

Single core terminations into a transformer cable box with defined phase spacing.

Street Cabinets and Pillar Boxes

1 kV four core terminations in small damp enclosures.

Switchgear Busbar Reinsulation

Adding insulated bar and joint covers after an animal contact fault.

Solution Process

How We Work with This Sector

  1. 01

    Send Cable Data

Voltage class conductor size core count screen type and whether the position is a termination or a joint.

  2. 02

    We Return Part Numbers

Exact kit or component part numbers plus any additional rain sheds the site pollution class needs.

  3. 03

    Sample and Approval

Trial quantity plus test reports for your design authority to review against the approved accessory list.

  4. 04

    Production and Marking

Kits packed to the agreed bill of materials with your branding on carton instruction sheet and bags if required.

  5. 05

    Delivery and Installation Support

Illustrated instruction sheet in every kit plus a live WhatsApp video walkthrough for the first installation.

  6. 06

    Field Feedback Loop

Any installation issue comes straight back to our engineers who adjust dimensions or contents for the next batch.

Delivery Capability

What We Commit to

  • Standard kit configurations ship in 5 to 10 working days
  • Made to order sizes run 15 to 25 working days
  • Mixed part numbers accepted on one order so a whole network can be stocked in one shipment
  • Private label carton instruction sheet and bag printing available
  • Export documentation and certificate packs prepared with the shipment

FAQ

Power Utilities and Grid Frequently Asked Questions

Do your kits carry IEC 60502-4 test evidence
Yes. C15 and C35 are designed against the full IEC 60502-4:2010-12 and GB/T 12706.4 test sequences covering AC and DC withstand partial discharge impulse heating cycles immersion thermal and dynamic short circuit humidity and salt fog. Ask us on WhatsApp for the report.
Can you supply for legacy paper insulated cable
Transition joints between paper insulated and XLPE cable are built from individual layers rather than a standard kit. Send us the cable construction of both sides and we will list the components.
How do you handle a network with many different cable sizes
Buy the kits for the common sizes and hold tube components for the awkward ones. That combination covers a whole network without carrying dozens of kit lines in store.
Do you supply lugs and connectors
They are optional because most utilities specify their own brand and barrel length. Tell us your preference when you enquire.
What is the shelf life of a stored kit
Five years sealed in the original carton between 5 and 35 °C away from direct sunlight.
Can you train our jointers
Every kit carries an illustrated instruction sheet and we run live installation walkthroughs over WhatsApp video before a first installation.
