Product Overview
What T1 Does
Cross-linked polyolefin outer layer,pre-coated adhesive inner layer.Emergency repair of electrical system.Overlapping the irregular shaped substrate to provide a lap to lap sealing insulation and protection while tube or sleeve are not applicable.
Adhesive lined heat shrink tape that seals and insulates irregular shapes where no tube or sleeve will fit It is manufactured by Dalian United Polymer Material Co., Ltd. in Dalian China where radiation cross linking extrusion and molding are all performed in house under one quality system.
Key Benefits
- A wrapped repair that seals lap to lap and locks itself in place on recovery
- Suits irregular shapes where no tube or sleeve can be fitted
- Halogen free and RoHS compliant for enclosed and public routes
- 3:1 and 4:1 shrink ratios so the wrap conforms tightly to steps and changes of section
- Service range -55 to 110 °C
Who It Is For
Who Benefits Most from T1
The buyers and site teams this product was designed around
Emergency Repair Crews
When a fault has to be made safe now and the correct sleeve is not on the van.
Maintenance Electricians
Sealing and insulating awkward shapes such as tee connections and branch points.
Marine and Industrial Maintenance
Sealing irregular substrates on plant equipment.
Field Service Engineers
A single roll covers many different repair geometries.
Problems It Solves
Problems This Product Removes
Every one of these is a failure mode we have seen on real networks
Some Shapes Cannot Be Covered by Any Tube or Sleeve
Tee branches irregular castings and connections with fittings attached need a material that can be wrapped to shape.
A Wrap Needs to Seal Not Just Cover
The pre coated adhesive inner layer bonds lap to lap so the wrap becomes a continuous sealed surface.
Ordinary Tape Relaxes and Unwinds
Heat shrink tape recovers and locks itself in place. It does not creep back like a self amalgamating wrap.
Emergency Repairs Need One Item That Covers Many Cases
One roll of tape handles a wide range of repair geometries which keeps a service van simple.
Application Scenarios
Where It Is Used
Tee and Branch Connections
Sealing where a cable branches and no molded boot fits.
Emergency Electrical Repair
Making a damaged connection safe quickly.
Irregular Substrate Sealing
Covering castings fittings and equipment connections.
Reinforcing a Sleeve End
Adding a sealed overlap where two sleeves meet.
Temporary to Permanent Repair
A repair that lasts because it is cross linked and adhesive sealed.

Manufacturing and Quality
How It Is Made and Checked
Compounding extrusion radiation cross linking expansion and test all under one roof in Dalian
-
01
Compounding
Base polyolefin antioxidants flame retardants and functional fillers are mixed to a recipe held under our own formulation control rather than bought as a masterbatch.
-
02
Extrusion
The compound is extruded to the required wall and diameter. Co extruded products form two or three layers in a single pass so no interface can trap air.
-
03
Radiation Cross Linking
Electron beam irradiation creates the cross linked network that gives the material its shape memory. This step is what makes the product heat shrinkable.
-
04
Expansion
The cross linked part is heated expanded to its supplied diameter and cooled under tension so the expanded shape is locked in until heat is applied again.
-
05
Test and Inspection
More than 90 percent of product performance tests are carried out in our own laboratory including tensile elongation heat aging dielectric strength and tracking resistance.
-
06
Packing and Traceability
Each batch carries a production record so a delivered part can be traced back to its compound lot and process parameters.

Use Guide
How to Select and Install T1
The sequence our engineers walk customers through on every first installation
-
01
Confirm a Tube or Sleeve Will Not Fit
Tape is the answer where geometry rules out a tube or a wraparound sleeve. Where a sleeve fits it is stronger and faster.
-
02
Clean and Abrade the Substrate
The adhesive needs a clean lightly abraded surface to bond to.
-
03
Start on Sound Material
Begin the wrap at least 50 mm back on undamaged surface.
-
04
Overlap Each Turn by Half the Width
A half lap gives a double thickness across the whole repair and a continuous adhesive path.
-
05
Finish on Sound Material
End the wrap at least 50 mm past the damage on undamaged surface.
-
06
Heat Evenly from One End
Work along the wrap so the laps fuse together and the adhesive flows at every edge.
