How to Choose Within This Category

    Identify the Function You Need

    Stress control grades the field. Non tracking insulates. Semiconductive restores the screen. Composite combines two functions in one tube.

    Match the Voltage Class

    C102-10 and C108 are for up to 24 kV. C102-35 C105 C106 and C107 reach 36 kV. C101 covers 6 to 36 kV.

  3. 03

    Size by Supplied and Recovered Diameter

    The supplied diameter D must slide over the largest point and the recovered diameter d must be smaller than the finished surface.

  4. 04

    Check the Wall Thickness You Need

    Recovered wall runs from 2.5 mm on C101 to 14 mm on C106. Wall thickness converts directly into insulation build.

    Choose Single or Adhesive Lined Wall

    Adhesive lined where the layer must also seal. Single wall where it is one layer inside a multi layer build.

Stress Control and Insulation Tubes Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use a stress control tube on its own
No. Stress control tube is always an internal layer. It must be covered by non tracking insulation such as C101 or by the insulating tubes supplied in a complete kit.
What is the difference between C105 C106 and C107
C105 is a double layer with semiconductive screen and insulation at 5 to 6.3 mm recovered wall. C106 adds an elastomeric inner layer and reaches 11 to 14 mm which suits 35 kV joints. C107 is insulation only for designs where the screen is restored separately.
Are these direct replacements for Raychem parts
They are designed as functional equivalents. C101 for HVOT C102 for JSCR C105 for CICM and C106 for the ERIT ERIC ERIH family. Verify dimensions against your approved design before substituting.
Do you supply on spools
Yes for the smaller sizes. Larger diameters and the heavy wall products ship in cut lengths up to 1.22 or 1.5 m depending on the product.
What is the difference between C102-10 and C102-35
C102-10 is rated to 24 kV with a dielectric constant of 10 to 25. C102-35 is rated to 36 kV with a dielectric constant of 25 to 50. Use the grade matched to your voltage class.
Can you supply a complete layer list for my joint design
Yes. Send us the cable construction the connector type and the voltage class and we will list every tube size and length the build needs.
