ANSI Water Centrifugal Pumps
End-suction water pumps built to the American dimensional standard, so the pump you buy interchanges with the pump already bolted to the baseplate.
A plant standardised on ANSI hydraulics has years of baseplates, pipe spools and spare parts built around one set of dimensions. Buying a pump that does not honour those dimensions means new grouting, new spools and a second spares list. The ANSI family exists so that never has to happen.
ISO Water Centrifugal Pumps
Metric end-suction pumps built to ISO 2858 dimensions and the ISO 5199 engineering class, in metal and in polymer.
A mixed fleet of ISO 2858 pumps from four manufacturers should share spares, because the standard says the dimensions match. In practice the spares store carries four of everything because nobody checked. The ISO family is built to make that interchangeability real, in metal for clean water and in polymer where the water attacks metal.

End-suction pumps on the European dimensional standard, for building services, fire protection, irrigation and municipal water.
Building services, fire and irrigation packages are usually specified around EN733 dimensions because that is what the pipework, the baseplates and the fire authority all expect. A pump that does not honour those dimensions creates a coordination problem that nobody wants to own on site.

A sump has no flooded suction and no easy access. A horizontal pump has to lift the liquid, prime itself and be reached for service — three problems a vertical wet-installed pump simply does not have, because the wet end hangs in the liquid and the bearings stay above it.

How many pump series does Flowsteer make?
Six: the ANSI CN, ISO CI, KCP lined, DE process and FA EN733 horizontal series, plus the VNP vertical sump pump.
Which series covers the widest size range?
The DE series, from DN 25 to DN 400 with flow to 600 m3/h. The FA series covers DN32 to DN250 with the widest published operating envelope.
How do I choose between the series?
Start with the dimensional standard your plant already uses, then check the liquid. The standard narrows it to one or two series and the water analysis decides the material.
Why do some specification tables say TBC?
Because the Flowsteer catalogue does not publish that figure. We mark it rather than borrow a value from a neighbouring series, and we confirm it in writing at enquiry.
Can you supply pumps bare shaft?
Yes, on every series. A bare shaft pump suits a rebuild where the motor and baseplate stay in place.
