Industry

HVAC and Cooling

Chilled water, condenser water and heating circulation duties from -10 °C to 105 °C on one EN733 series.

Industry Pain Points

What Goes Wrong on These Duties

  • Two pump types for one buildingChilled circuits and heating circuits are often specified separately, which doubles the spares and the commissioning work.
  • Plant rooms with no space to work inA pump that has to be pulled forward for a seal change needs clearance that a packaged plant room rarely has.
  • Continuous duty and energy costA circulation pump runs for most of the year, so a selection a few percent off the best efficiency point is an operating cost, not a rounding error.
  • Temperature limits discovered during commissioningA pump specified for chilled water and later used on a heating circuit can sit outside its temperature rating.
What Buyers Need

What a Pump Has to Deliver Here

  • One temperature range covering chilled and heating circuits
  • Back pull-out construction for plant rooms with limited access
  • Accurate selection against the duty point for continuous running
  • Published temperature and pressure limits at design stage

Typical Scenarios

Where These Pumps Are Installed

  • Chilled water circulationFA series pumps on primary and secondary chilled circuits within the -10 °C lower limit.
  • Condenser waterCooling tower circuits at moderate head and high flow.
  • Heating circulationDuties up to the published 105 °C temperature limit.
  • Pressurisation and top-upSmaller sizes from the DN32 to DN250 band.
Delivery Capability

How We Handle an Order for This Duty

  • Temperature and pressure limits confirmed against the circuit design
  • Back pull-out construction on both the FA and CI series
  • Complete sets supplied aligned on a baseplate
  • Flange standard matched to the installed pipework

How to Read a Pump Curve

A published envelope such as 2 to 1100 m3/h is a range of sizes, not the capability of any one pump. Here is how to get from it to a selection.

Questions

HVAC and Cooling Pump FAQ

Can one pump series cover both chilled and heating circuits?

On the FA series, yes. The published temperature range is -10 °C to 105 °C, which covers chilled water and most heating circulation duties.

How much access does a back pull-out pump need?

Enough clear space behind the bearing frame to withdraw the rotating assembly — roughly the length of the shaft and bearing housing. Allow for it at plant room layout stage rather than discovering it at the first seal change.

Why does selection accuracy matter more on a circulation duty?

Because the pump runs almost continuously. A selection well off the best efficiency point costs energy every hour of the year and puts more radial load on the bearings.

What pressure rating is available?

1.2 MPa as standard on the FA series and 1.6 MPa on request, which covers tall risers and pressurised circuits.
