A Pump Manufacturer That Publishes What It Knows

Flowsteer describes itself as a professional supplier of water centrifugal pumps, specialising in centrifugal pumps for water application. That is a narrow description, and the range reflects it: five horizontal series and one vertical series, all built around water and waste water duties rather than spread across unrelated product lines.

The range spans DN 25 to DN 400, flow to 1100 m3/h and head to 152 m, with drive ratings to 200 kW and working pressures to 1.6 MPa. Nine wetted materials are published across the series, from grey cast iron through bronze and stainless steel to polypropylene, polyethylene and UHMW-PE.

What ties the range together is standards. The CN series is built to ANSI/ASME B73.1, the CI and KCP series to ISO 2858 with the ISO 5199 engineering class, and the FA series to BS EN733 and DIN24255. A plant standardising its pump population can do so without changing supplier when the standard changes.

What We Build

Six product series covering the water duties that most plants actually have: municipal supply and distribution, waste water and effluent, fire protection, irrigation, HVAC circulation and general industrial transfer.

Five of the six use back pull-out construction, which means the rotating assembly withdraws from the casing with the suction and discharge pipework left bolted in place. On the ANSI CN series that follows from B73.1 itself; on the ISO CI, KCP, FA and VNP series it is stated in the datasheet.

The sixth axis of the range is material. The metal series cover clean, treated and mildly aggressive water; the lined KCP and VNP series cover water whose chemistry would attack metal wetted parts.

How We Publish Specifications

Every specification on this site is traceable to the Flowsteer product catalogue. Where a figure is published — the FA series operating envelope, the KCP drive rating, the VNP solids limit — it appears as published.

Where a figure is not published, the specification table says TBC rather than carrying an estimate borrowed from a neighbouring series. The DE series head and materials, and the VNP capacity and head, are the main examples.

The same applies to certifications, production capacity, export markets and company history. The Flowsteer catalogue does not publish them, so this site does not state them. Ask and we will confirm in writing what can be evidenced.
