Big format printing produces large-scale prints using custom designs on a range of materials including vinyl, fabric, cardboard and foam board, to suit oversized advertisements such as big size banners and signage. Fabric folds and travels well indoors; 3-15mm anti-UV PVC foam board survives outdoors; cardboard is for short-run retail display. Tell us indoor or outdoor and how many weeks it must last.
Supply Vector Artwork Where You Can
Accepted files are PDF, AI, PSD and JPEG at minimum 300dpi with fonts outlined. At big format sizes, vector logos and type stay sharp where raster files will not.
Plan the Freight With the Substrate
Rigid board ships as volume and costs accordingly; fabric folds flat. If the spec allows either, the fabric version is usually the cheaper landed cost.
Confirm the Finishing and Fixing
Eyelets, hems, pole pockets, stand hardware and cut-to-shape edges are all finishing choices made after the print. Decide them with the size, not afterwards.

What materials can you print at large format?
Vinyl, fabric, cardboard and foam board among others, so one design can be output on whichever substrate suits the location, from a knitted polyester backdrop to a 15mm anti-UV foam board sign.
Which sub-category do I need for an exhibition stand?
Usually all three: Banners for the backdrop and roll-ups, Fabric Printing for tents and hanging graphics, Display Stands for the cardboard or foam board units on the floor.
Will colours match across different materials?
They are matched to one approved artwork, but fabric, vinyl and cardboard absorb ink differently so a perfect identical match is not physically possible. We photograph the set together before shipment.
How is large format artwork best supplied?
PDF or AI with fonts saved as outlines, at a minimum of 300dpi. If the file is built at a scale ratio such as 1:10, tell us the ratio so the output size is not misread.
How does big format ship?
Fabric and folded goods usually go by air in 3-4 working days; rigid and bulky signage is normally sea freight at 15-18 days. We will quote both against your event date.
