Decisions to Make Before You Order
Metallic Stock or Applied Foil
Metallised stock makes the whole label silver and lets you knock out colour on top - good for a full mirror look. Applied foil puts the shine only where you want it, so a logo can be gold on a white background. Foil is the better choice when only a small element needs to catch the light.
Adhesive and Surface
Tell us what the label goes on: painted metal, bare metal, powder coat, glass, or a textured plastic. 3M adhesive is the default for hard, low-energy surfaces. If the item is washed, chilled or handled outdoors, say so before we quote the stock.
Numbering and Sequence
If each label must be unique, give us the start number, the increment, the digit count and any prefix. Numbers can be plain, barcoded via thermal transfer, or both. Confirm whether the sequence must run unbroken across cartons, because that changes how we pack.
Sheet or Single
Sheets suit hand application and small runs; singles on a liner suit anything applied on a line. Vinyl at 0.05mm is thin enough to conform to a slight curve. State the labels-per-sheet you want if your team applies them in batches.

Is the silver a real metallic or silver ink on white stock?
A real metallic - either a metallised substrate or applied foil. Silver ink printed on white paper looks flat and grey next to it. We will confirm on your quotation which of the two we are supplying so there is no substitution.
How do I supply artwork for the foiled areas?
Put the foil elements on their own named layer as 100% vector in a single spot colour, with everything else on the print layer. PDF or AI, fonts outlined. We preflight the file and come back to you if the foil layer contains rasters or gradients.
Can you print unique serial numbers on every label?
Yes. Send the start number, increment and format, or your own number list as a file. The numbers are imposed with the artwork and the finished quantity is counted against the sequence before packing.
Will the label stay on a powder-coated surface?
That is what the 3M adhesive is specified for. Clean and dry the surface before applying, and press from the centre outwards. If your surface is oily, textured or heavily curved, tell us and we will recommend a different stock.
Can I see a sample before committing to the run?
Stock samples are free. For a label printed to your own artwork we make a custom sample and refund that cost once the bulk order is confirmed. Hard copy digital proofs and mock-ups are available on request.
