What S1-A Does
Suitable for improving insulation and preventing short circuits of overhead conductors of various voltage levels; Strengthen the three-phase insulation protection of the transition line from medium and high voltage lines to the main transformer station; Used for the lead part of oil switches on columns and urban public transformers. Installation is simple and fast, with built-in creepage growth device to increase creepage distance and improve insulation performance. Excellent weather resistance, UV resistance, and mechanical damage resistance

How It Is Made and Checked

Compounding
Base polyolefin antioxidants flame retardants and functional fillers are mixed to a recipe held under our own formulation control rather than bought as a masterbatch.

Extrusion
The compound is extruded to the required wall and diameter. Co extruded products form two or three layers in a single pass so no interface can trap air.

Radiation Cross Linking
Electron beam irradiation creates the cross linked network that gives the material its shape memory. This step is what makes the product heat shrinkable.

Expansion
The cross linked part is heated expanded to its supplied diameter and cooled under tension so the expanded shape is locked in until heat is applied again.

Test and Inspection
More than 90 percent of product performance tests are carried out in our own laboratory including tensile elongation heat aging dielectric strength and tracking resistance.

Packing and Traceability
Each batch carries a production record so a delivered part can be traced back to its compound lot and process parameters.

Measure the Conductor Diameter
Sizes run from Ø14A upward. Match the size to the maximum conductor diameter in the table below.

Confirm the Voltage Class
The dimension table lists the voltage class each size covers from 380 V to 110 kV.

Clean the Conductor
Remove loose corrosion and dirt so the cover sits directly on the conductor.

Wrap and Close the Profile
Fold the cover around the conductor and engage the closure profile along the full length.

Overlap Adjacent Sections
Where more than one length is used overlap the sections so no gap is left.

Inspect the Creepage Device
The built in creepage growth feature must be correctly oriented along the whole covered length.
