How boards are verified

Electrical and physical verification happens in the same plant that builds the board, so a failure is diagnosed rather than shipped back.

Electrical test and analysisFlying probe, impedance coupons, slice analysis, hole copper, peel and tensile testing, cold and heat shock, halogen content.
Assembly and final testStencil, SMT, DIP, wave solder, then 100% AOI with ICT, FCT, X-ray, vibration and drop testing to IPC-A-610 Class II.
