Tshirts

Cotton and polyester t-shirts and polo shirts decorated with a customer's logo by screen printing, for staff kit, events and merchandise.

Two garment types sit in this category: pure cotton t-shirts printed by silk screen, and polo shirts in polyester or cotton for uniform and corporate use. Decoration is done by automatic, semi-automatic or manual screen printing depending on run size and how many colours the design carries, with each colour laid down through its own screen. The buyer's decisions are fabric, the size split across the order, how many print colours the logo really needs, and placement - left chest, full front or back. Send vector artwork with fonts outlined and separate the colours; a photographic image needs a different treatment from a flat logo and we will tell you which before quoting.

What This Solves and Who Buys It

Problems It Solves

  • Screen printing prices by colour, so a logo built from a photograph costs far more than the same mark redrawn as flat colour.
  • Size splits guessed rather than counted leave a box of XS shirts unworn and no larges left by the second day of an event.
  • Cotton and polyester take ink differently, and a design signed off on one looks different on the other.
  • Uniform reorders months later have to match the first batch, which needs the original colour reference kept, not re-guessed.
  • Buyers ordering garments plus printed swing tags, stickers and cartons normally juggle several suppliers and shipments.

Who Buys It

  • Companies buying staff uniform polos for a service or hospitality team
  • Event and exhibition contractors kitting out stand staff for a show
  • Sports clubs and societies printing team and supporter shirts
  • Bands, festivals and creators selling merchandise t-shirts
  • Promotional distributors quoting branded apparel alongside other giveaway lines

Where It Is Used

  • Stand staff uniform polos for a trade exhibition
  • Tour merchandise t-shirts sold at a venue
  • Company anniversary shirts given to every employee
  • Charity run shirts printed with sponsor logos on the back
  • Induction packs pairing a branded t-shirt with a printed welcome booklet

Why Order It Here

  • Automatic, semi-automatic and manual silk screen printing in house, so short sample runs and volume orders are both handled without subcontracting.
  • The approved colour reference is kept and every piece is hand-checked against it, which is what makes a reorder match the first batch.
  • Printed swing tags, care labels, polybag stickers and shipping cartons are produced in the same house and packed with the garments.
  • Artwork is preflighted before screens are made, so a design with an unnecessary fifth colour is flagged while it can still be simplified.
  • Photographs of the finished garments are sent for your approval before shipment, and work is redone if it does not meet the agreed requirement.
Specification Guide

Decisions to Make Before You Order

  1. Cotton or Polyester

Pure cotton is softer and the usual choice for merchandise and giveaway t-shirts. Polyester and blends hold shape through repeated washing and dry faster, which suits polo shirts worn as uniform. Decide by how often the garment is worn and washed, not by unit price alone.

  2. Colours in the Print

Screen printing uses one screen per colour, so cost scales with the count. Flat two or three colour logos are the sweet spot. If your artwork is a photograph or a gradient, tell us - we will advise whether to simplify it or use a different process before screens are made.

  3. Sizes and Placement

Send an actual size breakdown rather than an even split; most orders weight towards the middle sizes. Confirm print position and print width in centimetres for each placement - left chest, full front, back - because the same file scales very differently across the two.

  4. Packing and Reorders

Say whether shirts should be folded, individually polybagged, or bagged by size with a counted label on each carton. If you expect to reorder, we keep the approved colour reference and screens specification so the second batch matches the first.

Answers

Tshirts Questions

How many print colours can I have before the price jumps?

Each colour needs its own screen, so the cost step comes with the colour count rather than the design's complexity. One to three colours is where most logos sit. Send your artwork and we will tell you how many screens it actually needs.

Will a reorder in six months match this batch?

We keep the approved colour reference from the first run and hand-check each piece against it, which is what keeps batches consistent. Quote your original order reference when you reorder so we match to the right approval.

Can you print on both the front and the back?

Yes. Each print position is a separate set-up, so tell us the positions and the print width in centimetres for each when you enquire. Back prints are common for sponsor and event artwork.

How long does a garment order take and how does it ship?

Allow 5-7 working days for bulk production once screens and artwork are approved, or 10-12 working days on large quantity orders. Express or air shipping runs 3-4 working days and sea shipping 15-18 days.

Can you supply the shirts retail-ready?

Yes. Swing tags, care labels, barcode labels and polybag stickers are printed here and applied before packing, so merchandise stock can go straight onto a rail or into a stockroom.
