Industry Application
Chemical duty is where the wrong seal, the wrong elastomer or the wrong grade of stainless shows up fastest. The range here covers corrosive transfer, thermal oil circuits and viscous media, with seal free options where a leak is unacceptable.
Magnetic drive pumps have no shaft seal, so there is no path for the liquid to escape and no gland to maintain.
Above 80 degrees a water pump is out of its range. The heat transfer line is rated for hot oil duty to 350 degrees.
Centrifugal pumps lose head as viscosity rises. Progressing cavity and gear pumps displace a fixed volume regardless.
Recommended Equipment
Chemical versions of the centrifugal range, magnetic drive pumps for leak free duty, and positive displacement pumps for viscosity.

View specifications →Typical Scenarios
Moving acids, alkalis and solvents between storage and process with stainless wetted parts.
Circulating heat transfer oil between heater and consumer at temperatures a water pump cannot survive.
Resins, pastes and slurries that stall a centrifugal impeller but move steadily through a screw pump.
How We Work
Chemical name, concentration, temperature, viscosity, specific gravity and solids. All of it changes the answer.
Casing and impeller grade, seal type or a magnetic drive, and the elastomer for the chemistry.
Material certificates, test records and the documentation package the project demands, agreed before build.
Works test, export packing, and spares held against the model number for the life of the installation.

Answers
The magnetic drive micro pumps and the heat transfer pumps are magnetically coupled, so there is no shaft seal and no leak path.
The chemical centrifugal versions carry their own temperature limits on each data sheet, and the heat transfer line is rated to 350 degrees for hot oil duty.
Yes, if you ask at enquiry stage so the material is traced from the start of the build.
Use the progressing cavity or rubber lobe line. Gear and centrifugal pumps wear quickly on abrasives.
Yes. Sanitary and industrial stainless fittings are built in the same works, in 304, 316 and 316L.
Chemical, concentration, temperature and viscosity decide the pump, the material and the seal in one pass.
