ANSI, ASTM, DIN, JIS, BS, ISO, GB, SH or HG. The standard sets the dimensions, so this comes first.
Give Size And Schedule
Nominal size and wall schedule or thickness. For a butt weld fitting the wall has to match the pipe.
Pick The Grade
316 or 316L depending on the service and on whether welding will be done after installation.
Ask For Certificates Early
If the project needs material certificates, say so with the enquiry so the material is traced from the start.
