5 models magnetically driven no shaft seal
Positive displacement micro pumps where a magnet couples the motor to the gear set, so there is no shaft seal to leak and no path for the liquid to escape.
The Range
The pump head changes with the duty: gear sets for smooth metered flow, larger heads for transfer, PEEK gears where metal contact is not acceptable.

Micro pump
Compact magnetic drive gear pump for machine mounted duty.
View specifications →On a small pump the shaft seal wears out faster than everything else. A magnetic coupling removes it, so the liquid stays inside a closed head.
A gear pump displaces a fixed volume per revolution, so flow tracks speed rather than system pressure, which keeps metering repeatable.
Gear pumps give near continuous flow compared with a diaphragm pump, which matters when the liquid feeds an analyser or a coating head.
Why This Line
With no dynamic seal there is no leak path for solvents, reagents or hazardous liquids, and no gland to maintain.
Output is proportional to shaft speed, so a variable speed drive turns the pump into a metering device without extra instrumentation.
Compact heads and standard motor frames make these pumps easy to mount inside analytical and process equipment.
Application Scenarios
Heating, cooling, filtering, mixing, hydrating and degassing circuits that must run for long periods without attention.
Adding a measured stream of additive, lubricant, adhesive or solvent into a process at an adjustable rate.
Moving a measured amount of liquid to a point of use without changing its characteristics, including hazardous liquid handling.
Selection Guide
Flow in millilitres or litres per minute and the pressure the pump has to work against. Micro pumps are chosen on both, not flow alone.
Solvent, acid or reagent decides gear and housing material. PEEK gears are available where metal to metal contact is unacceptable.
Fixed speed for a constant duty, or variable speed drive where the process needs to trim the rate.
Tell us whether the pump goes on a bench, inside a cabinet or on a machine frame, and what supply voltage is available.
Answers
The motor turns an outer magnet, which drives an inner magnet attached to the gear set through a containment wall. Nothing passes through the housing, so there is no shaft seal to leak or replace.
Avoid it. Gear pumps rely on the liquid for lubrication between the gears and the housing. Where dry running is possible in the process, say so at enquiry and we will advise on protection.
Displacement per revolution is fixed, so with a controlled speed the volume is repeatable. For an exact figure on your liquid and pressure, send the duty and we will confirm against the model.
Clean liquids without abrasive solids. Reagents, solvents, lubricants, coatings and process liquids are all common. Abrasive slurry will wear the gears.
Yes, PEEK gears are offered on the micro pump range where the liquid or the application rules out metal gears.

Product Guide
Removing the shaft seal removes the most common leak path and the most common maintenance item. Here is where that trade is worth making and where it is not.

Maintenance Guide
The tube is the pump. It sets the flow, the chemical compatibility and the service interval, and it is the only part that wears.
Read the guide →Flow, pressure and the liquid are enough to pick the head, the gear material and the motor.
