Product Overview
LC/PC-LC/PC 62.5/125 MM Duplex Patchcord is part of the fiber optic patchcord range built by Ever Expresslink Limited in Ningbo, China. It is built on the LC (Lucent Connector) interface.
We offer LC fiber cables and LC fiber patch, including single mode 9/125 and multimode 50/125, multimode 62.5/125, LC-LC, LC-SC, LC-ST, LC-MU, LC-MTRJ, LC-MPO, LC-E2000, LC-FC. Other types also available for custom design. Excellent quality and fast delivery.
The LC fiber cable is with a small form factor (SFF) connector and is ideal for high density applications. The LC fiber patch connector has a zirconia ceramic ferrule measuring 1.25mm O.D. with either a PC or APC endface, and provides optimum insertion and return loss. The LC fiber patch cable connector is used on small diameter mini-cordage (1.6mm/2.0mm) as well as 3.0mm cable. LC fiber cable connectors are available in cable assembled or one piece connectors. The LC fiber optic assemblies family is Telcordia, ANSI/EIA/TIA and IEC compliant.
Small form-factor transceivers are built around it, so LC is what a data-center or an access switch presents to you whether you wanted it or not. The latch is small and breaks if the cord is pulled sideways out of a dense panel. Use a boot or a push-pull tab on panels packed to 48 ports and above.
62.5/125 µm multimode is the older OM1 core size, still present in large installed building backbones. Specify it when you are patching into an existing 62.5/125 plant and core mismatch would cost you more than the cord does.
PC is the baseline physical-contact polish, with a lighter dome than UPC. It appears on older plant and on multimode links where return loss is not the limiting factor.
Key Benefits
- Supplied as LC/PC-LC/PC 62.5/125 MM Duplex Patchcord, so the part you receive matches the designation you ordered against
- PC end face: It appears on older plant and on multimode links where return loss is not the limiting factor.
- Multimode 62.5/125 at 62.5/125 µm: Specify it when you are patching into an existing 62.5/125 plant and core mismatch would cost you more than the cord does.
- Duplex construction: Two fibres in a zip or round jacket, clipped as a transmit and receive pair. Use it for transceiver ports, where polarity has to stay consistent end to end.
- Bulk packing options that suit a rollout rather than a single repair
- Factory termination and polishing under controlled conditions, not a crimp done on a ladder
Problems It Solves
- Mixed connector estates where the equipment port and the distribution frame never match
- Jacket ratings that fail a building inspection after the cabling is already installed
- Long lead times on non-standard lengths, which stall a commissioning window
- Link budgets that pass on paper and fail on site because connector loss was assumed rather than measured
Application Scenarios
- Gigabit Ethernet Active Device Termination Premise Installations Telecommunication Networks Multimedia
- SFP and SFP+ transceiver ports
- Cross-connecting between patch panels in a campus riser
- Building portable test leads for field engineering kits
- Stocking spares for network maintenance crews
- Patching optical line terminals to splitter shelves inside a central office
Who It Is For
- OEM equipment makers bundling cords with their own hardware
- FTTH and access network operators patching between splitter shelves and subscriber feeds
- Data-center and enterprise cabling contractors building out patch fields
- System integrators commissioning transmission and monitoring equipment
Technical Features
- LC (Lucent Connector) interface
- The latch is small and breaks if the cord is pulled sideways out of a dense panel. Use a boot or a push-pull tab on panels packed to 48 ports and above.
- Multimode 62.5/125 fiber at 62.5/125 µm
- Jacket and boot color coded by polish type for quick field identification

Manufacturing Process
- Fiber and connector kitting against the works order
- Epoxy injection and fiber insertion into the ferrule
- Oven curing of the epoxy bond
- Cleave and multi-stage polish to the specified end-face profile
- Interferometric and visual end-face inspection
- Insertion loss and return loss test on every unit
- End-cap fitting, labeling and individual bagging
Quality Control
- End-face geometry inspection before the cord is allowed to be tested
- Insertion loss and return loss measured per assembly, not per batch
- Tensile and side-pull checks on sample units from each production run
- Visual inspection for jacket damage, boot seating and label accuracy
- Final cleanliness check and end-cap fitting before packing
Customization Options
- Any length from short equipment jumpers to long riser runs
- Mixed connector types on each end for equipment-to-frame transitions
- UPC or APC polish specified per end
- PVC, LSZH, armoured or outdoor-rated jacket
- Custom boot colors, jacket printing and private-label packaging
Compared With Other Options
| SC | SC is more forgiving to handle; LC fits twice the ports per rack unit |
|---|---|
| MTRJ | MTRJ carries a duplex pair in one ferrule; LC keeps the two fibres separately serviceable |
| APC version | APC adds an eight degree angle so reflections leave the core, which matters on PON, CATV and RF-over-glass paths. It is not interchangeable with this part. |
| Single mode version | Single mode costs more at the transceiver but carries reach and upgrade headroom that multimode cannot. |
Handling LC/PC-LC/PC 62.5/125 MM Duplex Patchcord
Before You Order
- Confirm the connector type and polish at both ends against the equipment and the frame
- Confirm fiber mode and core size match the installed plant end to end
- Inspect and clean both end faces before every mating, including on a new cord
In Service
- Seat the connector fully until the latch or nut engages, then verify with a power meter
- Keep the bend radius above the cord's rated minimum through the whole route
- Re-cap any cord taken out of service instead of leaving the ferrule exposed
Questions About LC/PC-LC/PC 62.5/125 MM Duplex Patchcord
What do you need from us to quote LC/PC-LC/PC 62.5/125 MM Duplex Patchcord?
The quantity, the destination and anything that has to match on your side: connector and polish at each end, fiber mode and core size, and length where the item is an assembly. If you are matching a part you already buy, send the sample and we will quote against it.
Can LC/PC-LC/PC 62.5/125 MM Duplex Patchcord be supplied with a different connector interface?
Yes. LC (Lucent Connector) is what this designation carries, and the same family is stocked across the other mainstream connector standards. Tell us the port you have to mate with and we will confirm the equivalent part.
Is LC/PC-LC/PC 62.5/125 MM Duplex Patchcord available in the other fiber mode?
This item is multimode 62.5/125. Do not mix 62.5/125 cords into a 50/125 channel. Keep the two core sizes physically separated and labeled. The corresponding version in the other fiber mode is available; confirm the installed plant at both ends before ordering.
What connector and polish combinations can you supply on a patch cord?
We build cords with FC, SC, LC, ST, MU, MT-RJ and E2000 ends in UPC, APC and PC polish, including mixed-connector cords with a different type on each end. Tell us the equipment port and the frame port and we will quote the assembly that bridges them.
Can I order non-standard lengths?
Yes. Cords are cut and terminated to the length on your order rather than to a fixed catalog ladder, which is usually cheaper than buying long cords and coiling the slack.
