Long Haul Tyres
Long haul is the truck and bus radial category for vehicles that spend most of their working life at steady speed on motorway and trunk road. Seventeen patterns sit in this group, covering steer, drive, trailer and all-position fitments across 22.5 inch and 24.5 inch rims. The design priority here is cost per kilometre rather than traction: shallow to medium tread depth, rib or closed shoulder patterns that resist irregular wear, and casings intended to survive to a first or second retread. If your customer's trucks leave the paved network regularly, the regional or on and off road categories are the better fit.
Problems This Category Is Bought to Solve
- Drive tyres pulled for irregular shoulder wear long before the tread depth is used up
- Fuel bills that move with rolling resistance on fleets running fixed motorway routes
- Casings scrapped at first removal because the construction never supported a retread
- Mixed fleets buying four separate patterns when steer, drive and trailer positions could come from one family
- Distributors holding stock in the wrong rim diameter for the trucks actually running in their market

How do I choose between long haul and regional patterns?
Long haul suits vehicles doing most of their kilometres at steady motorway speed. If the truck does frequent stop start work, tight turns, or urban delivery, a regional pattern has the shoulder strength and tread depth for that duty.
Can I order steer, drive and trailer patterns in one shipment?
Yes. Most customers load a container across positions and often across categories. We consolidate from the plants and ship on one bill of lading.
What rim sizes are covered?
The patterns in this category run on 19.5 to 24.5 inch rims. Exact rim width for each size is listed in the size table on every product page.
What is the minimum order?
One full container. Truck tyres normally reach the container weight limit before the volume limit, so a 40HQ is the usual unit. Mixed sizes and patterns are accepted in the same container.
Are these tyres retreadable?
Casing life depends on the pattern, the operating pressure and how the fleet handles impact damage. Tell us your retread programme and we will confirm which patterns in this group your customers have had success with.
Which markings can you supply?
Marking depends on the destination and on the size. Tell us the import market and we confirm with the plant what marking is available before you order.
