Tyres for Winter and Cold Climate Fleets
In markets with a legal winter requirement the question is not whether the tyre grips, it is whether it carries the marking the regulation names. We supply winter marked product in both truck and passenger ranges so an importer can stock ahead of the season instead of during it.
What Actually Fails in This Sector
- Product arriving after the first snow, when the season is already half over
- Confusion between M+S marking and the 3PMSF alpine symbol at the border
- Truck fleets running a seasonal changeover that doubles stock and fitting labour
- Winter passenger stock ordered in the wrong size split for the local car park
- Small winter volumes not worth a dedicated shipment on their own
What a Working Answer Has to Include
- Winter marked product across both TBR and PCR ranges
- Clear marking information so import and road legality are settled before ordering
- Ordering months ahead of the season, not weeks
- Consolidation of winter stock into a summer shipment to avoid a separate order
- All-season options where a full changeover is not practical

Winter and Cold Climate Buying Questions
What is the difference between M+S and 3PMSF?
M+S is a mud and snow marking the manufacturer applies based on tread pattern geometry. 3PMSF, the three peak mountain snowflake, requires the tyre to pass a defined snow traction test. Most European winter regulations name 3PMSF, not M+S.
Which of your tyres carry 3PMSF?
It varies by pattern and by size. The individual product pages state where the manufacturer specifies M+S and 3PMSF. Ask us to confirm for the exact sizes you want before ordering.
When should I order winter stock?
Months ahead. Plant capacity for winter product is committed early and shipping time to most markets is measured in weeks. Ordering in autumn means selling in the following season.
Can winter stock ship with my normal order?
Yes, and it usually should. A small dedicated winter shipment costs far more per tyre than adding the same tyres to a container you are already sending.
Do you supply all-season product?
Yes. Where a full seasonal changeover is not practical, all-season patterns with winter marking cover both duties on one fitment.
Will the marking satisfy my country's regulation?
Tell us the country and we will confirm what marking the plant can supply. The final legal check against your national rule is yours to make, and we will give you the specification you need to make it.
