T820-Long Haul is a radial trailer axle tyre designed for highway freight trucks that operate on long-distance routes with consistent speeds and minimal off-road exposure. The tread pattern is optimised for low rolling resistance and even wear over extended mileage, supporting fuel efficiency without compromising load capacity.

What T820-Long Haul Is Built For
T820-Long Haul is a radial trailer axle tyre designed for highway freight trucks that operate on long-distance routes with consistent speeds and minimal off-road exposure. The tread pattern is optimised for low rolling resistance and even wear over extended mileage, supporting fuel efficiency without compromising load capacity. It is supplied in five size and ply combinations, covering common trailer axle fitments on 4x2 and 6x2 tractor units. The tyre carries the J speed symbol and load indices up to 160, suitable for high-speed, long-haul operations. It is available in 445/45R19.5, 435/50R19.5 and 385/55R19.5 sizes with 18PR and 20PR ratings.
Manufacturer Feature Claims
- Suitable for the Trailer Axle of the Trucks Running on Highway
- Low fuel consumption
Key Benefits
- Low rolling resistance reduces fuel consumption on long-haul highway routes
- Load index up to 160 supports high axle loads without overspecifying tyre capacity
- J speed symbol allows sustained highway speeds without performance degradation
- Five size and ply combinations cover most trailer axle fitments on 4x2 and 6x2 tractor units

Problems It Solves
- High fuel consumption from trailer axle tyres with high rolling resistance on long-distance routes
- Uneven wear and early casing failure due to mismatched tread depth or load index for the axle
- Multiple tyre patterns required for different trailer axle fitments, increasing stock and ordering complexity
- Lack of consistent load index and speed symbol across trailer axle sizes, leading to over-specification
- Inconsistent documentation and marking when sourcing from multiple plants with different standards
Who It Is For
- Tyre importers sourcing trailer axle tyres for long-haul freight fleets in Europe, South America, and Asia
- Wholesale distributors supplying trailer tyres to trucking companies with highway-only operations
- Fleet operators replacing trailer axle tyres that wear unevenly or consume excessive fuel
- Government tender buyers requiring tyres with consistent performance and documented load capacity
- Sourcing agents consolidating multiple trailer axle patterns into one container shipment
Application Scenarios
- Long-haul freight trucks running daily between major distribution hubs on paved highways
- Tractor units operating on fixed routes with minimal off-road or low-speed manoeuvring
- Fleets that prioritise fuel economy and consistent tread wear over rugged terrain performance
- Importers sourcing trailer tyres for mixed container loads across multiple patterns and sizes
- Distributors needing a single trailer axle pattern that covers multiple trailer axle fitments
Technical Features
- Radial casing construction with low rolling resistance designed for highway use
- Tread pattern engineered for even wear and reduced fuel consumption over long distances
- Load index up to 160 and speed symbol J suitable for sustained highway operation
- Tread depth of 15.5 mm on 445/45R19.5 and 12.5 mm on 435/50R19.5 and 385/55R19.5
- Standard rim sizes of 15.00, 14.00, and 12.25 match common trailer axle wheel configurations

Where This Pattern Wins and Where It Does Not
Compared With Trailer axle tyres designed for mixed-surface or off-road use
T820-Long Haul sacrifices stone resistance and sidewall reinforcement for lower rolling resistance and longer tread life on paved highways
Compared With Tyres with higher speed symbols like K or L
T820-Long Haul uses the J symbol, which is sufficient for highway speeds but not for sustained high-speed operations above 100 km/h
Compared With Tyres with deeper tread depths like 18 mm or more
The 12.5 mm to 15.5 mm tread depth on T820-Long Haul is optimised for highway wear rather than extended casing life in rough conditions
Use Guide
- Match ply rating and load index to your actual axle load, not to the heaviest tyre available
- Check the standard rim listed against your wheel: 15.00 for 445/45R19.5, 14.00 for 435/50R19.5, 12.25 for 385/55R19.5
- Inflate to the pressure shown for your load in the size table; dual and single fitment pressures differ
- Rotate trailer axle positions before irregular wear sets in, particularly on fleets running heavy one-way loads
- Monitor tread depth regularly; the 12.5 mm depth on 435/50R19.5 and 385/55R19.5 is less than the 15.5 mm on 445/45R19.5
T820-Long Haul Buying Questions
What is the minimum order quantity?
We load by full container. A 40HQ of 445/45R19.5 or 385/55R19.5 typically fills at container weight rather than volume, so the practical minimum is one container. Mixed loads across sizes and patterns are accepted.
What is the lead time?
It depends on whether the size is in stock at the plant or has to be produced. We confirm current availability with the plant at the time of quotation rather than quoting a standard figure.
Which sizes are available?
445/45R19.5 in 18PR and 20PR, 435/50R19.5 in 18PR and 20PR, and 385/55R19.5 in 18PR. Full load index, rim and pressure data for each is in the size table on this page.
Can you supply DOT or ECE marked tyres?
Marking requirements vary by destination. Tell us the import market and we confirm what marking the plant can supply on that size before you place the order.
What warranty do you give?
One year against manufacturing defect on all tyres we supply, with claims handled by us directly. Cargo transportation insurance is provided on the shipment itself.
Can you ship a mixed container with other patterns?
Yes. Most of our customers load one container across several patterns and sizes, which is the main reason to buy through us rather than from a single plant.
Is this tyre suitable for off-road use?
No. T820-Long Haul is designed for highway use only. It is not built for unsealed roads, kerb impacts, or off-road terrain.
