Choosing the Right Brand and Range for Your Market

We work across seven brands and three sourcing countries. That is only useful if somebody helps you choose between them, because the right answer depends on what your market will pay and what it expects, not on which brand has the best catalogue photography.

The problem

Why This Exists

Most buyers approach a Chinese tyre supplier with a brand name already in mind, usually the one a competitor stocks. It is the wrong starting point. A brand that works in a market with high fuel prices and long motorway runs may be badly matched to a market where roads are rough and price is the whole conversation. Meanwhile the same plant often produces under several names at different specification levels, so the brand on the sidewall tells you less than the pattern and the construction do.

How it works

Step by Step

1

Market Position

What price point do you sell at, and against whom? A premium positioning and a value positioning need different product, not the same product with a different sticker.

2

Duty Profile

Road surface, average speed, typical load and climate. These decide the construction that will actually survive, which is a technical question before it is a brand question.

3

Range Fit

We map your requirement across LINGLONG, CROSSWIND, LEAO, ATLAS, INFINITY, ADVANCE and SAILUN and tell you where each is genuinely a better fit.

4

Sourcing Country

We buy from China, Thailand and Cambodia. Origin can matter for duty, for market perception and for lead time, so it belongs in the decision.

5

Trial Quantity

Where you are entering a new brand, start with a portion of a mixed container rather than a full commitment. Consolidation makes that possible.

6

Review

After the first shipment sells through, we look at what moved and adjust the next container mix against real data rather than the original guess.

What you get

What Changes for You

  • Seven brands compared against your market rather than pushed at it
  • Three sourcing countries, so origin can be chosen for duty or perception
  • Trial quantities possible inside a mixed container
  • Product matched to duty profile before brand preference
  • The next order adjusted against what actually sold
Who it is for

Buyers Who Get the Most From This

  • Importers entering the Chinese tyre market for the first time
  • Distributors whose current brand is not performing in a particular category
  • Buyers who need a second brand at a different price point without a second supplier
  • Anyone who has been sold a brand rather than advised on one
Questions

Brand and Range Selection Questions

Which brands do you supply?

LINGLONG, CROSSWIND, LEAO, ATLAS, INFINITY, ADVANCE and SAILUN, sourced from plants in China, Thailand and Cambodia.

Which is the best one?

There is no answer to that without knowing your market. Price point, road surface, climate and what your competitors already stock all change it. Tell us those and we will give you a real recommendation.

Can I get exclusive distribution for my market?

Distribution arrangements are a matter for the brand owner as well as for us. Tell us the market and the volume you can commit and we will tell you honestly what is possible rather than promise something we cannot deliver.

Can you supply private label?

Sidewall branding and private label are subject to each plant's minimum order quantity, which is normally substantially higher than a standard order. Tell us the volume and we will tell you whether it is realistic.

Does the origin country change the product?

It can change specification, lead time, duty treatment and market perception. It is worth discussing rather than assuming a plant in one country is interchangeable with a plant in another.

Can I trial a brand before committing?

Yes. Take a portion of a mixed container. That is one of the main practical advantages of consolidation.
