Flyers Printing
Single-sheet flyers and folded leaflets, including A4 accordion folds, for campaigns that need volume at low unit cost.
Flyers are the cheapest printed thing a buyer can put in someone's hand, and the whole category turns on unit cost at volume. Work here runs from flat single sheets to A4 accordion fold brochures, where the sheet is printed both sides then folded into a concertina of panels that opens out to a full spread. Offset printing on Heidelberg and Akiyama presses gives the lowest unit cost once the quantity is up; digital covers short runs, regional variants and samples without a plate charge. The decisions are the flat size and how it folds down, the paper weight, whether the sheet is coated or uncoated for writing on, and the finish.

What This Solves and Who Buys It
Problems It Solves
- Flyer campaigns live or die on unit price, so long runs go offset where the plate cost is spread across the quantity.
- A fold placed through a headline or a logo ruins the panel sequence; the folding scheme is set before artwork is approved.
- Accordion panels are not all the same width once they fold in on themselves, which is why the panel dimensions come from the imposition rather than from a template guess.
- Regional or dated variants make an offset run wasteful; short digital runs cover them without a new plate.
- Distribution deadlines are fixed, so runs are planned against the 4-5 day offset or 10-12 day large quantity windows plus freight.
Who Buys It
- Retail and hospitality businesses running a local promotion or menu drop
- Event organisers distributing programmes and schedules on site
- Estate agents and clinics handing out service leaflets at reception
- Distributors supplying dealers with a product leaflet in several language versions
- Print brokers buying flyer volume at wholesale cost for their own clients
Where It Is Used
- A door-drop leaflet for a new shop or restaurant opening
- An A4 accordion fold brochure explaining a product range at a trade counter
- Event programmes handed out at the entrance
- Insert leaflets included in a parcel or a magazine
- A multi-language product leaflet packed with exported goods
Why Order It Here
- Offset presses bring the unit cost down sharply at volume, which is the entire point of a flyer run.
- Digital printing handles short runs, language variants and samples in 1-2 working days with no plate charge.
- Folding, creasing and trimming are done in house, so an accordion fold is not a separate finishing job with its own lead time.
- UV printing and hot foil are available where a leaflet needs to hold up better than a standard flyer.
- Artwork is preflighted before imposition and pagination, which catches fold lines running through text before plates are made.
Decisions to Make Before You Order
Flat Size and Fold
Decide the flat sheet size and the folded size together. An A4 accordion fold gives several narrow panels that open into one spread; a half fold gives four larger pages. The fold dictates how the content is sequenced, so settle it before design.
Paper Weight and Coating
Lighter stock keeps the unit cost and postage down for a mass drop. Heavier stock feels more substantial at a counter or a show. Choose uncoated if anyone needs to write on it, since ink will not sit on a gloss coating.
Offset or Digital
Below a few hundred, digital is usually cheaper and faster because there is no plate. Above that, offset takes over and the unit cost keeps falling with the quantity. Give us the quantity and we will price both.
Artwork and Bleed
Supply PDF or AI at a minimum of 300dpi with fonts saved as outlines and bleed included. Keep text clear of the fold lines and trim edge; we will confirm the exact panel widths from the imposition.
Flyers Printing Questions
How many panels can an accordion fold have?
An A4 sheet commonly folds into six panels across two sides. More panels are possible on a larger flat sheet, but the inner panels have to be slightly narrower to nest, and we confirm those widths from the imposition.
At what quantity does offset become cheaper than digital?
Roughly once the run is into the hundreds, because the plate cost spreads. Send us the quantity and the size and we will quote both routes so you can see the crossover for your job.
Can you print different language versions in one order?
Yes. Short language or regional variants are usually run digitally alongside a longer offset run of the main version, which avoids paying for a plate set per language.
Do you supply flyers folded or flat?
Folded, unless you ask otherwise. Folding, creasing and trimming are done in house, so folded delivery does not add an outside finishing leg or extra days.
What is the lead time on a large flyer run?
A regular offset commercial run is 4-5 working days and a large quantity order 10-12 working days. Bulk printing generally runs 5-7 working days before shipping.
