A transparent sticker is printed on clear vinyl film rather than white stock, so only the inked areas are visible and the container reads as unlabelled apart from your design. That is why they are used as tamper seals on boxes, no-label-look labels on glass jars and bottles, and window decals. The one technical decision that governs everything is white ink: without an underprinted white layer, colours take on whatever sits behind them, and a dark bottle will swallow a pale logo. The other is die shape - clear stock shows every cut line, so a shaped die or laser cut looks far better than a square with visible corners.

Decisions to Make Before You Order
White Ink or None
Without white, the colours blend with whatever is behind the sticker - that is the intended effect on a clear container. With a white underprint, colours print true on any background. A common middle route is white behind the logo only and clear everywhere else. Say which you want.
Shape and Cut
Clear stock makes every cut line visible, so plan the shape deliberately. Circles, ovals and contour cuts to the artwork outline look best. Supply the cut path as a named vector layer in your file so the laser follows your outline rather than our interpretation of it.
Where It Will Be Applied
Tell us glass, PET, HDPE, acrylic or painted card, and whether the item is chilled, refrigerated or wiped down. Curved surfaces need a smaller label or a more conformable film. This changes the stock we quote, so it is worth saying up front.
Sheets or Singles
Sheets suit hand application and mixed designs on one order. Singles on a liner suit volume application. For clear stock, ask for a slit liner if your team applies by hand - lifting a clear label with no white backing off a flat liner is fiddly.
Transparent Stickers Printing Questions
Will my colours look the same on a clear sticker as on paper?
Not unless we underprint white. On clear film the background shows through, so on an amber or dark container light colours wash out. Tell us the container colour and we will proof the artwork with and without the white layer so you can choose.
Are transparent stickers waterproof?
Vinyl film handles moisture, condensation and wiping far better than paper stock. For anything soaked, scrubbed or refrigerated long term, tell us the exact condition and we will specify the film and adhesive rather than assume.
Can you cut them to the shape of my logo?
Yes, by laser cutting, which does not need a bespoke die and so works on short runs. Supply the cut path as its own vector layer. Leave a small margin between the artwork edge and the cut so a slight registration shift does not clip the design.
Do they work as tamper-evident seals?
A clear seal across a carton flap shows disturbance once lifted and is far harder to replace neatly than a paper one. If you need a seal that visibly destroys itself on opening, say so when you enquire so we specify the right material.
Can I test one on my actual bottle first?
Yes, and we recommend it. Stock samples are free and a custom sample printed to your artwork is charged with the cost refunded once bulk is confirmed. Digital samples can be produced in 1-2 working days.
