Why it is built this way
Engineering notes
DIN 7505 is the reason a German kitchen fitter can open any box on the van and know the screw will behave. The standard fixes head diameter, head angle, thread pitch and core diameter for each nominal size, in forms A and B — so head bearing area and drive depth stay predictable across suppliers.
We run this line against the standard rather than against a house drawing, and the inspection record reports the DIN dimensions rather than our own tolerances. Where a customer needs a deviation — a longer plain shank, a different recess — we quote it explicitly as a custom part instead of shipping it as DIN stock.
