What makes this job different
Window and door fabrication puts three constraints on one small screw: it has to hold in an extrusion wall measured in fractions of a millimetre, it often remains visible in the finished frame, and it lives for the life of the building in a cavity where condensation collects.

Problems we are asked to solve — and what fixes them
Grabbing and stripping in thin extrusion
The point and thread have to engage without over-cutting the wall. Window-specific geometry is why this is a separate line, not a repurposed sheet screw.
Swarf trapped in the frame cavity
Where the profile is pre-punched, a tapping screw avoids the chips that a drill point would leave inside a sealed section.
Condensation corrosion
Yellow zinc adds protection over clear zinc inside the cavity; stainless is specified for coastal glazing.
Appearance against anodised finish
White zinc sits neutrally against mill-finish and anodised aluminium where the fixing stays visible.
