Why it is built this way

Engineering notes

White zinc is the default finish for anything that lives indoors. The bright blue-white electroplate gives clean corrosion protection in a dry interior and, just as importantly, it disappears against white melamine and light veneer — which is why cabinet shops specify it by habit for face-fixed work.

Underneath the plating this is a straightforward, sharp-pointed chipboard screw: a coarse single-lead thread on a thin core, a flat countersunk head that pulls flush, and a Pozi or Phillips recess sized so a collated driver keeps hold of it all day. It is the highest-volume line we run in the chipboard family and stock diameters cover 3.0 to 6.0 mm.

Is white zinc suitable for outdoor use?
No. White zinc is an indoor finish. For exposure to weather, specify yellow zinc for light protection or move to a Ruspert or Magni system — tell us the environment and we will quote the right coating.
What diameters and lengths are stocked?
The chipboard family runs 3.0 – 6.0 mm diameter and 12 – 100 mm length. Sizes outside that band are produced to order.
Can you supply it with our own box printing?
Yes. Small boxes, plastic tubs and bulk cartons can all be printed with your label, your part numbers and your piece counts.
