Why it is built this way
Engineering notes
On a coated metal roof, the fixings are the only thing breaking up the colour field — and there can be thousands of them. Matching the head to the panel is what turns a fixing pattern from a visible grid of dots into something the eye skips over. We coat to RAL references so a specifier can name a colour rather than send a sample.
Underneath the paint it is a full-specification roofing fastener: hardened drill point rated to steel purlins within the 1.5 – 5 mm capacity band, bonded EPDM washer under the hex head, and a zinc base layer beneath the polymer so that a scratch in the colour coat does not start a rust bloom.
