Why it is built this way

Fine thread exists because steel is not wood. A coarse thread arriving in 25-gauge steel has too few engaged turns to grip before the sharp point punches through, so it spins. The fine pitch puts more thread flanks into the same thickness of sheet, and each one only has to carry a small share of the load.

Everything above the thread is standard drywall practice — the same bugle head, the same Phillips #2 recess, the same black phosphate. Installers moving between timber and steel partitions only have to change boxes, not technique.
