Shafts Distorting on the Quench Line
A driveline part that moves in heat treatment goes back for regrinding or into the scrap bin. 42CrMo4 1.7225 combines high strength and hardenability with good toughness and minimal deformation during quenching, which is why it is specified for shafts connecting rods crankshafts and screws.

A painted mild steel body on a road trailer loses its coating at the chafe points first. Corten weathering steel carries weather resistance stated at 2-8 times ordinary carbon steel and paintability stated at 1.5-10 times, so a body can run bare or hold paint longer.
Coil Width the Blanking Line Has to Cut Again
A mill width coil fed to a blanking press means a decoiling pass and a scrap edge in your own plant. Coil is slit and decoiled to the blank width before shipment so the press line starts on the first coil.

How an Order Runs
From Enquiry To Delivered Material
Part and Grade Confirmation
Send the component drawing with the grade and the heat treatment route. We confirm the equivalent grades held in stock and what has to be rolled.
Form Selection
Plate bar coil strip or tube is chosen against the first machine the part meets, so a turned shaft comes as bar and a drawn panel comes as slit coil.
Delivery Condition
Hot rolled black surface, cold drawn bright surface, annealed, or quenched and tempered depending on whether you harden the part yourself.
decoiling and Cutting
Coil is decoiled and slit to blank width, bar is cut from the 6m standard length and tube is cut to fixed or random length.
Secondary Processing
Bending welding decoiling cutting and punching are available where a bracket or panel is better bought formed than blank.
Inspection and Certificate
Dimensions surface condition and grade are checked before packing and a mill test certificate is issued for the heat supplied.
Packing and Dispatch
Coils bar bundles and tube bundles are protected against transit rub and marked to the part number on the order.
