What can and cannot go into a composting machine
Creeks commercial machines take a wide range of food waste - including the things domestic composters refuse.
Commercial Creeks composters handle food scraps, meat products, skins, fish scraps, soft bones, cardboard and compostable packaging. On the CR-5 decomposer, anything edible - fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, cheese, bread, rice, noodles - goes in raw or cooked.
That range matters because most of the awkward items in a commercial kitchen are exactly the ones a garden heap cannot take. Meat and fish in a compost pile attract pests and go anaerobic; in a controlled aerobic machine they are simply input.
What stays out is anything that is not organic: metal, glass, hard plastics, and very hard bone or large pits that will not break down within the cycle.
Household units are more selective by design. The CR-1, CR-2 and CR-3 are sized for everyday kitchen scraps - trimmings, peelings and leftovers - rather than a full commercial waste stream.
