CR-1 is a 2.5-litre electric food recycler that sits on a kitchen counter and turns the day's scraps into a dry, odour-controlled organic output before they turn the bin wet and heavy. It is not a garden compost bin: food goes into a removable inner bucket, the lid closes, and a controlled cycle of heating, drying and grinding reduces the load without any outdoor space, turning or bulking agent. Quick mode finishes in about 2.5 hours, standard mode in about 5.5 hours, and a 0.5-hour self-cleaning programme resets the bucket for the next load.
