Solution

Smart Manufacturing

Connect the cell to the rest of the plant in a way that survives a shift change

Why This Matters

Smart manufacturing only earns its name if the connection is still working in month six. Delkotech builds cells that report what they are doing in a format your existing systems can consume, and keep running when that link drops.

How It Runs

The Sequence We Follow

Five stages, in this order. Skipping one is what makes the others expensive.

  1. Agree the data contract

What the cell will publish, how often and in what format is agreed with your IT group before the software is written.

  2. Local first

The cell runs on its own logic. The network link adds visibility, it is not a dependency for production.

  3. Traceability

Where the part carries an identifier, the process record is tied to it so the history follows the part.

  4. Changeover support

Recipes and part programs are selected at the HMI rather than edited in code, so a product change is an operator action.

  5. Scale

The second and third cell reuse the same structure, so the plant gets one system rather than three dialects.

Outcomes

What You Have Afterwards

  • Cells that keep running when the network does not
  • One consistent data structure across successive projects
  • Changeovers handled by operators at the HMI
  • Traceability tied to the part rather than to the shift log

Questions

Smart Manufacturing Questions

What does Smart Manufacturing cover at Delkotech?

Smart manufacturing only earns its name if the connection is still working in month six. Delkotech builds cells that report what they are doing in a format your existing systems can consume, and keep running when that link drops.

Is this sold separately from the machine?

It is part of how the machine is built rather than an add on. Where you already have equipment and want only this capability applied to it, that is scoped as its own project.

Who do you work with on our side?

Usually engineering, maintenance and, depending on the capability, your IT or quality group. Agreeing the interfaces with those people early is what prevents the disagreements at commissioning.

What do we get at handover?

Documentation that matches what was built: the sequence of operation, as built drawings, test records and any data or network arrangements described rather than merely listed.

How do we start?

Email [email protected] describing the line and what you need it to do. We will tell you what is achievable on the equipment you have and what would need new hardware.
