How It Runs
The Sequence We Follow
Five stages, in this order. Skipping one is what makes the others expensive.
Sequence of operation
The machine is written down in plain language first: what happens, in what order, what has to be true before each step. Everything downstream is checked against this document.
Electrical design
Panel layout, power distribution, motor sizing and IO allocation are drawn before parts are ordered, with spare capacity agreed with you rather than assumed.
Panel build and wiring
Panels are built and labelled to the drawings, with every wire tagged so that the person troubleshooting at 2am is reading the same numbers we were.
Software
PLC and HMI code is structured by station so a change to one part of the cycle does not ripple through the whole program.
Commissioning
Dry cycle, then part run, then rate run. Each stage signs off before the next one starts.

Usually engineering, maintenance and, depending on the capability, your IT or quality group. Agreeing the interfaces with those people early is what prevents the disagreements at commissioning.
