Solution

Industrial Cybersecurity and Networks

Keep the machine network reliable and separated from the office network

Why This Matters

Modern cells talk: to each other, to the historian, sometimes to a supplier for remote support. Each of those paths is useful and each is a way in. Delkotech plans the network with the machine so that connectivity does not become exposure.

How It Runs

The Sequence We Follow

Five stages, in this order. Skipping one is what makes the others expensive.

  1. Map the traffic

We list what actually needs to talk to what: HMI to PLC, cell to historian, vendor to drive. Anything not on the list does not get a route.

  2. Segment

Machine networks are separated from business networks so that a problem on one side does not stop production on the other.

  3. Control remote access

Where remote support is wanted, it is arranged as a path that your team can switch on and off, not a permanent open door.

  4. Harden the endpoints

Default credentials are changed, unused ports and services are closed, and firmware levels are recorded at handover.

  5. Document and hand over

Network diagrams, address lists and access arrangements are delivered with the machine so your IT and OT groups are working from the same page.

Outcomes

What You Have Afterwards

  • A documented machine network your IT group can review
  • Separation between plant floor and business systems
  • Remote support that is available when you want it and closed when you do not
  • No unknown devices on the cell network at handover

Questions

Industrial Cybersecurity and Networks Questions

What does Industrial Cybersecurity and Networks cover at Delkotech?

Modern cells talk: to each other, to the historian, sometimes to a supplier for remote support. Each of those paths is useful and each is a way in. Delkotech plans the network with the machine so that connectivity does not become exposure.

Is this sold separately from the machine?

It is part of how the machine is built rather than an add on. Where you already have equipment and want only this capability applied to it, that is scoped as its own project.

Who do you work with on our side?

Usually engineering, maintenance and, depending on the capability, your IT or quality group. Agreeing the interfaces with those people early is what prevents the disagreements at commissioning.

What do we get at handover?

Documentation that matches what was built: the sequence of operation, as built drawings, test records and any data or network arrangements described rather than merely listed.

How do we start?

Email [email protected] describing the line and what you need it to do. We will tell you what is achievable on the equipment you have and what would need new hardware.
