Can you copy our existing work roll?
Yes. Send the drawing or a worn sample with the cassette position and we produce to those dimensions with documented hardness and plating.
What hardness do you supply?
Depending on the build, HRC 58-62 and above from alloy and tool steel, or surface quenching to HRC 63-65 with a 3-5 mm hardened layer.
How many regrinds will we get?
It depends on the drawing and the regrind allowance it leaves. We state the usable allowance with the quotation.
Which material should we choose?
Carbon steel for dry standard duty, stainless where the position is wet or corrosive, and tool or bearing steel where load and wear are highest.
Do you supply matched sets?
Yes, and we recommend them so diameters stay inside the cassette tolerance band.
What do you need to quote?
Drawing or sample dimensions, cassette model, line width, strip material and quantity per set with annual usage.
