Engineering notes
This is the appearance-led member of the roofing family: the same sealed hex washer head, finished in a standard RAL colour range covering red, green, blue, brown, black and white. It is specified on visible roof planes, on architectural cladding, and anywhere the client will see the fixings from the ground.
Colour is applied over a zinc base rather than directly to bare steel, so the protection system does not depend on the paint film staying perfect. That matters on a roof, where a dropped tool or a dragged panel will find the one screw with a scratch in it.
