Full width electrolytic tinplate coil wound for continuous can and closure lines
Coated tinplate coil is cold rolled low carbon steel plated with commercial pure tin on both faces, passivated, oiled and wound for feeding straight onto a coil fed line. High volume can makers, coil coating lines and closure plants specify it in SPCC, MR or SPCH against GB/T 2520-2008, JIS G3303-2008, DIN EN 10203-1991 or ASTM A623M-2011. Ordering in coil rather than sheet keeps the line running between reel changes instead of stopping to reload stacks, and fixing the coil geometry to your reel removes the mandrel adapters and tail scrap that come with mixed inbound coils. Width runs 600-1050mm inside a 0-3mm tolerance, thickness 0.15-0.50mm inside plus or minus 0.01 mm, on a 420/508mm inside diameter at 1-5 MT per coil.
Inside diameter is supplied at 420 or 508mm and coil weight is set between 1 and 5 MT. Matching the reel and the crane capacity you already have avoids adapters and half used coils in the rack.
Coils run 600-1050mm wide with a width tolerance of 0-3mm. Blank layout across the strip stays predictable so the nesting you costed is the nesting you get.
Gauge is held at 0.15-0.50mm within plus or minus 0.01 mm from head to tail, which keeps press feeding and wall thickness steady through an entire reel.
Both faces are plated between 1.1 and 11.2 g/m2. A single coil program can be split across coating weights so food, chemical and dry goods packs each get what they need.
T2, T2.5, T3, T3.5, T4 and T5 plus the double reduced DR7, DR7M and DR8 are available in BA or CA condition, so body stock and end stock can come from the same supply.
Bright, stone or silver finish with passivation treatment and a DOS oil film keeps the tin surface clean through shipment and storage before the coating line.
Sheet fed production loses time at every stack change. A 1-5 MT coil on the reel keeps the press running and cuts the number of handling operations per tonne.
Mixed inbound coils force adapters, extra rigging and sometimes rewinding. Specifying 420 or 508mm inside diameter on every coil takes that step out.
When width wanders the blank layout across the strip has to be re-cut. A 0-3mm width tolerance on the 600-1050mm range keeps the layout fixed.
Coils heavier than the house crane force double handling at goods in. Coil weight can be set anywhere between 1 and 5 MT to match the equipment on your floor.
Surface staining is rejected at the coating line and the whole coil is at risk. Passivation treatment plus DOS oil protects the tin face through the ocean leg.
Continuous body blank production where the reel runs for a full shift and stopping to reload sheet stacks is the main lost time.
Lacquering and printing plants that coat in coil form before decoiling or shearing for their own downstream converters.
High speed end shell and closure presses fed from coil where blank pitch and gauge control decide the scrap rate.
decoiling operations buying 600-1050mm coil and reselling narrow strip and sheet to regional packaging workshops.
Paint, adhesive and chemical container plants blanking bodies, rings and closures for containers that meet the product directly.

| Tinplate supplied as cut sheet | A 1-5 MT coil keeps a press line running between reel changes instead of stopping at every sheet stack, which is where coil fed plants recover their time. |
|---|---|
| Cold rolled black plate coil | The plated tin layer brings corrosion resistance and solderability that untreated cold rolled coil cannot offer for packaging duty. |
| Aluminium coil for packaging | The steel base is stiffer at the same gauge, so bodies and ends hold their shape under stacking load. |
| Mixed coil geometry from several mills | Fixing every coil at 420 or 508mm inside diameter and 1-5 MT means the same rigging and the same reel setup on every delivery. |
Coils run 600-1050mm wide with a width tolerance of 0-3mm. Give the blank layout you are nesting and we will confirm the best ordering width.
Inside diameter is 420 or 508mm and coil weight can be set between 1 and 5 MT. Both should be fixed against your decoiler mandrel and crane capacity.
Gauge is supplied between 0.15mm and 0.50mm and held within plus or minus 0.01 mm. That consistency is what keeps press feeding stable for a full reel.
Yes. Coating runs from 1.1 to 11.2 g/m2, so coils for food packs and coils for industrial packs can be split across weights on the same order.
T2 to T5 covers most drawn and formed body work while DR7, DR7M and DR8 are chosen where stiffness at low gauge matters. Tell us the wall thickness you are targeting.
JIS G3303-2008, ASTM A623M-2011, DIN EN 10203-1991 and GB/T 2520-2008 are all available. State the one your customer audits so the documents match at goods in.
The tin surface carries passivation treatment and a DOS oil film, and coils are wrapped with edge and eye protection before strapping. Certification covers ISO9001, BV, SGS and RoHS.
