An inline pump that drops straight into the pipe run, with suction and discharge on the same centreline and the motor above the casing.

Overview
The SKG is a single stage, single suction vertical centrifugal pump, also called an inline pump. Because it sits in the pipework rather than on the floor, it removes bends and the floor area a horizontal set would occupy.
The series covers clear water duty to 80 degrees Celsius, with hot water, high temperature, corrosive and oil variants developed on the same body. Flow runs from 1.5 to 1500 m3/h with head to 150 m and drives to 160 kW.
| Working Principle | Centrifugal |
|---|---|
| Main applications | Water |
| Driver | Electric motor |
| Power Specs | 380/415 V 220v,3phase;50hz/60hz |
| Max. permissible fluid temperature | 80°C |
| Type of connection | Flange |
Key Benefits
Suction and discharge share a centreline, so the pump replaces a section of pipe instead of taking floor area.
Straight through flow removes the elbows a horizontal set needs, which reduces pipe losses and installation work.
The series is built around a tested hydraulic model, and the published characteristics are power saving with low noise and steady operation.
Hot water, high temperature, chemical and oil variants use the same installation envelope.
Application Scenarios
Heating and chilled water circuits where the pipework is already routed at high level.
Supply boosting inside buildings where floor area is committed to other plant.
Clear water and liquids with similar properties inside a works.
An inline pump is carried by the pipework and takes no separate floor footprint.
Straight through flow means fewer fittings and less head loss to design around.
Water, hot water, high temperature, chemical and oil variants share the same envelope, which simplifies layout and spares.

Specifications
Published SKG data. Check headroom above the pump as well as the duty point, because the rotating element lifts upward for service.

Materials And Process
| SKW horizontal close coupled pump | The SKW is easier to reach from all sides; the SKG saves floor area but needs headroom above it. |
|---|---|
| SKGH vertical chemical pump | Same body with stainless wetted parts and a 120 degree rating for corrosive liquids. |
Use Guide
The pipe carries the pump, so supports either side must take the weight without transferring strain to the flanges.
Allow space above the motor to lift the rotating element for seal and bearing work.
Fill and vent, then confirm rotation direction before running at duty.
Log flow, pressure and current at commissioning as the baseline for later checks.
Answers
1.5 to 1500 m3/h with a maximum head of 150 m, drives to 160 kW and caliber to 500 mm.
80 degrees Celsius on the standard SKG. The SKGR is rated to 120 degrees and the SKGS to 240 degrees.
No. It is supported by the pipework, which must be properly braced either side of the pump.
The rotating element lifts out from above, which is why headroom above the motor matters at installation.
No. Free passage is 0.2 mm, so it is a clear liquid pump.
