A shaft mounted rotor and stator head that mixes, disperses, shears and homogenises viscous liquid and paste inside the vessel.

Overview
The high shear batch emulsifier is a vessel mounted mixer for mixing, dispersing, shearing and homogenising viscous liquids and pastes. The unit consists of a centrally located shaft connected to a flange type motor mounted on a steel housing.
Four types of stator are available to suit different working conditions, and all wetted parts are grade 304 or 316 stainless steel with mirror or matt polish to Ra below 0.8 um.
Key Benefits
Different stators suit different working conditions, from coarse dispersion through to fine emulsification, on the same drive.
Wetted parts in 304 or 316 stainless with mirror or matt polish to Ra below 0.8 um, and a mechanical seal for sanitary operation.
Hygienic design with quick opening so the head is cleaned without stripping the machine.
Three phase explosion proof motors for solvent based and flammable products.
Application Scenarios
Creams, lotions, shampoo and pastes that must stay emulsified in the pack.
Sauces, emulsions and beverage bases prepared in the vessel.
Pigment dispersion and pharmaceutical preparations needing controlled shear.
Rotor stator shear reduces droplet size so the emulsion stays stable in the finished product.
Quick opening and hygienic design shorten the changeover between products.
Explosion proof three phase motors are available for flammable batches.
Technical Features

Specifications
Published emulsifier data. Batch volume, viscosity and the target droplet size decide the head diameter and motor rating.
Materials And Process
| Inline emulsifier | The inline unit works continuously in the pipeline. This one treats a whole batch inside the vessel. |
|---|---|
| Colloid mill | A colloid mill grinds through an adjustable gap and reaches finer particle sizes than a batch head. |
Use Guide
Choose the stator for the duty. The same machine behaves very differently with a different head.
Keep the head properly immersed so it draws product rather than air.
Shear adds heat. Monitor the batch and use the vessel jacket where the product is sensitive.
Use the quick opening to inspect the stator and clean before product dries on.
