Product Overview
SC/PC Connector MM is part of the fiber optic connector range built by Ever Expresslink Limited in Ningbo, China. It is built on the SC (Subscriber Connector) interface.
SC fiber products are commonly seen and SC fiber optic connectors are found on many equipment and cable assemblies. SC fiber optic connector features its easy operation, good accuracy and low cost. Below is a drawing for the simplex SC fiber optic connector.
SC is square shape design, with push-pull latching mechanism, its keyed, molded housing provide optimum protection. SC fiber connector adopt 2.5mm ceramic ferrule. SC fiber products are available by both single mode and multimode versions, single mode SC have two types, one is SC UPC and the other is SC APC, multimode only has SC UPC connectors. According to the industrial practice, single mode SC UPC connector is blue color, single mode SC APC connector is green color, multimode SC UPC is beige color. Each type has duplex models. We supplied all common types SC fiber optic connectors, they are fully compliant to the TIA/EIA-568A and Fiber Channel standards, Huihong SC fiber products are competitive price and good reliability.
SC pairs a 2.5 mm ferrule with a square push-pull housing that clicks into the adapter and releases by pulling the body straight back. It is the workhorse of FTTH and passive optical distribution: a technician can seat a port blind, inside a closure, wearing gloves, without rotating anything.
Multimode fiber carries many modes in a 50 or 62.5 µm core, which makes alignment and coupling far more forgiving over short distances. Use it inside buildings, data halls and campus backbones where reach is short and low-cost VCSEL transceivers do the work.
PC is the baseline physical-contact polish, with a lighter dome than UPC. It appears on older plant and on multimode links where return loss is not the limiting factor.
Key Benefits
- Supplied as SC/PC Connector MM, so the part you receive matches the designation you ordered against
- PC end face: It appears on older plant and on multimode links where return loss is not the limiting factor.
- Multimode at 50/125 µm or 62.5/125 µm: Use it inside buildings, data halls and campus backbones where reach is short and low-cost VCSEL transceivers do the work.
- Consistent ferrule bore and geometry so polish recipes stay stable
- Full connector range from one supplier and one order
- Component-level pricing for volume assembly
Problems It Solves
- Sourcing separate parts for each connector type from separate suppliers
- Repair benches held up waiting for a single component type
- Ferrule bore variation that shifts the polish result between batches
- Housings that do not seat consistently in a given adapter brand
Application Scenarios
- Enterprise backbone links
- Practice terminations in a fiber training program
- Building custom assemblies for a one-off project
- Producing patch cords and pigtails on an assembly line
- Re-terminating damaged cords on a repair bench
Who It Is For
- Repair and refurbishment benches
- Training centers and technical schools
- Distributors supplying assembly consumables
- Cable assembly houses producing their own cords and pigtails
Technical Features
- SC (Subscriber Connector) interface
- SC bodies clip together into duplex pairs. Check polarity before you clip, because a reversed duplex clip is easy to build and hard to spot in a cabinet.
- Multimode fiber at 50/125 µm or 62.5/125 µm
- Crimp sleeve and strain-relief boot supplied with the body
- Standard-compliant housing dimensions for adapter interchangeability
- Single-mode and multimode ferrule bore options
- Zirconia ceramic ferrule with controlled bore diameter
Materials
- Zirconia ceramic ferrule
- Copper alloy crimp sleeve
- Stainless or copper alloy body hardware
- Thermoplastic housing and boot
- Stainless compression spring

Compared With Other Options
| LC | LC is half the footprint and doubles port density; SC is easier to handle in a crowded closure |
|---|---|
| FC | FC's threaded nut resists vibration; SC is faster to patch and re-patch |
| APC version | APC adds an eight degree angle so reflections leave the core, which matters on PON, CATV and RF-over-glass paths. It is not interchangeable with this part. |
| Single mode version | Single mode costs more at the transceiver but carries reach and upgrade headroom that multimode cannot. |
Handling SC/PC Connector MM
Before You Order
- Match ferrule bore to the fiber you are terminating
- Follow the epoxy manufacturer's mix ratio and cure schedule
- Polish in stages, inspecting the end face between stages
In Service
- Verify geometry on an interferometer before the assembly is released
- Measure insertion loss and return loss on the finished assembly
- Store unused bodies capped and dry
Questions About SC/PC Connector MM
What do you need from us to quote SC/PC Connector MM?
The quantity, the destination and anything that has to match on your side: connector and polish at each end, fiber mode and core size, and length where the item is an assembly. If you are matching a part you already buy, send the sample and we will quote against it.
Can SC/PC Connector MM be supplied with a different connector interface?
Yes. SC (Subscriber Connector) is what this designation carries, and the same family is stocked across the other mainstream connector standards. Tell us the port you have to mate with and we will confirm the equivalent part.
Is SC/PC Connector MM available in the other fiber mode?
This item is multimode. Core size has to match end to end. Mixing 62.5/125 and 50/125 in one channel costs several dB at the junction. The corresponding version in the other fiber mode is available; confirm the installed plant at both ends before ordering.
What polishing film do you recommend?
We supply polishing film alongside the connectors so the consumables come from one order. Grit sequence depends on your ferrule and polish target, which we can advise on for your process.
What are the minimum order quantities at component level?
Component-level items are normally sold in bulk packs. Send us the connector type and your annual usage and we will quote the pack size and price break that fits.
