Engineering notes
Coated steel panels arrive on site in a finished colour, and the fixing schedule usually specifies a matching fastener in the same breath. This variant pairs the colour-coated hex head with the hardened drill point, so the installer gets the match and the one-pass fixing in the same screw.
Darker colours — the deep blues, browns and blacks — are the ones most often missing from a distributor's shelf, and they are the ones we are most often asked to run. Standard colours are held as production lines rather than treated as specials.
