A vertical jacketed reactor built to pressure vessel standards, with dimple, coil or full jacket and an electrolytically polished interior.

Overview
The stainless steel reactor is a special stainless vessel designed, manufactured and inspected in accordance with the pressure vessel standard GB150-2011 and the steel welded atmospheric pressure vessel standard NB/T 47003.1-2009, built to meet GMP requirements.
It uses a vertical circular tank with a jacket that can be dimple, coil or full type for heating or cooling, in 316L or 304 stainless steel. The inside surface is electrolytically mirror polished or mechanically polished, and tank welds use a flanging process with arc transition so there is no dead corner.
Key Benefits
Dimple, coil or full jacket, chosen for the heat transfer rate and the pressure of the heating or cooling medium.
Electrolytic mirror polishing or mechanical polishing inside, with welds finished smooth.
Flanging process at the welds with arc transition, so cleaning reaches every surface.
Aseptic air filter and the rest of the instrument schedule are specified with the vessel.
Application Scenarios
Heated or cooled reactions where jacket performance sets the cycle time.
GMP oriented vessels where surface finish and documentation are part of the specification.
Processes requiring controlled temperature and a cleanable vessel.
Jacket type is chosen for the duty rather than defaulted, which is what governs heating and cooling time.
Electrolytic or mechanical polishing with smooth finished welds meets the finish the specification asks for.
Design, manufacture and inspection follow the referenced standards, with the document package issued with the vessel.
Technical Features
Specifications
Published reactor data. Design pressure, design temperature and the heating medium decide the jacket type and the shell thickness.
Materials And Process
| Mixing tank | A mixing tank blends at atmospheric conditions. A reactor is built for reaction duty with heavier jacket and pressure requirements. |
|---|---|
| Pressure vessel | A pressure vessel is specified by its code and pressure duty. A reactor adds the jacket, agitation and process fittings. |
Use Guide
Product, temperature profile, pressure and whether vacuum is involved.
Dimple, coil or full jacket according to heat transfer rate and medium pressure.
Agitator, baffles, spray device and sampling points, all shown on the drawing before fabrication.
Confirm the document list at enquiry stage, since some records are created during fabrication.
