Pump, air blower and gas liquid mixer in one machine that works under water, drawing its own air down a pipe.

Overview
The SKCB submersible aerator is a self priming aerator for oxygenating and mixing in sewage water treatment. It integrates the pump, the air blower and the gas liquid mixer as one unit, and operates submerged, either on the bottom of the aeration pool or fixed to a floating body.
It is built from a star type impeller, a stator and an air pipe. Impeller rotation creates a vacuum in the stator that draws air down the pipe, water and air enter the impeller together, and the gas is dispersed into small bubbles of about 100 microns in diameter.
Key Benefits
Pump, blower and mixer in one submerged unit removes the blower building, the air main and the diffuser grid.
Air is dispersed into bubbles of around 100 microns, which is what makes the oxygen transfer effective.
The same machine that aerates also keeps the basin contents moving.
Placed on the bottom of the aeration pool or fixed to a floating body, depending on the basin.
Application Scenarios
Pre-gas supply, activated sludge treatment and sludge stabilisation stages.
Keeping large shallow volumes aerobic where a diffuser grid is impractical.
Gas floats, neutralisation, ozone treatment and liquid mixing duties.
A submerged self priming unit removes the blower, the air main and the diffusers from the project.
Fine bubble dispersion at around 100 microns increases the air to water surface area.
This unit aerates and mixes at the same time in activated sludge duty.

Materials And Process
| Jet aerator | The jet aerator drives a mixed stream across a wider shallow volume. This unit suits deeper basins with a compact footprint. |
|---|---|
| Diffuser and blower system | A diffuser grid needs a blower house, an air main and periodic membrane replacement. This unit puts the whole function in the basin. |
Use Guide
Work from basin volume, depth and organic load rather than copying a machine size from another plant.
Fit guide rails or a lifting arrangement so the unit can be recovered without draining the basin.
Keep the air intake clear of spray and foam, and check it during routine inspection.
Monitor dissolved oxygen so a drop in transfer is noticed before the process suffers.
Answers
No. The unit is self priming for air: impeller rotation creates the vacuum that draws air down the pipe.
The gas is dispersed into small bubbles of about 100 microns in diameter.
On the bottom of the sewage aeration pool, or fixed to a floating body.
Pre-gas supply, activated sludge treatment, sludge stabilisation, gas floats, neutralisation, ozone treatment, oxidation ponds and liquid mixing.
Yes where guide rails and a lifting arrangement are fitted, which should be specified with the order.
