How To Use The Ratchet Tie Down And Lashing Belt Safely

Choose a lashing capacity that suits the mass and the friction of the load, not just its weight.
Open the ratchet with the release catch, thread the webbing up through the mandrel and lay it flat.
Work the handle until the webbing is tight, then close the ratchet down.
Check the tension again after the first part of the journey.
Never use a lashing belt as a lifting sling.
