What The Carl Stahl 2T Ratchet Strap And Lashing Belt Is
This is a two part lashing assembly. The short fixed end carries the ratchet, the long loose end passes around the load, and the double J hooks anchor into the lashing points of the vehicle or container. Tension is applied with the ratchet handle rather than by pulling on the webbing, so the required pretension is reached without effort and without straining the operator.
The assembly is used for freight, shipment, removal and storage. It fastens the load, keeps it in place, and protects both the goods and the people around them. It is a cargo securing device and it must never be used as a lifting sling.

How To Use The Carl Stahl 2T Ratchet Strap And Lashing Belt Safely
- Pull the release catch in the centre of the top movable piece of the ratchet and flip it fully open.
- Thread the strap up through the mandrel at the bottom of the ratchet so it lays straight and overlaps the fixed end.
- Raise and lower the handle until the strap is tight.
- Pull the handle down and close the ratchet when the strap feels tight.
- To release, pull and hold the release tab on the top assembly to override the ratcheting function, open the ratchet fully and pull the webbing free.
- Never use a ratchet strap to lift a load. It is a cargo securing device only.

What does the 2T rating mean?
It is the lashing capacity of the assembly under EN 12195-2. It describes the force the assembly may be subjected to when securing cargo, and it is not a lifting capacity.
Can this strap be used to lift a load?
No. Ratchet tie downs must not be used as lifting slings. Use a sling from our EN 1492 range for lifting.
Can we have a different colour and our own printing?
Yes. The webbing colour is made to the order and your brand can be printed along the strap.
Which end hooks are available?
