What The Lever Hoist Is
A lever hoist is worked by a short ratchet lever instead of a hand chain, so it can be used at any angle. That makes it the tool of choice for pulling a structure into line, tensioning a stay, or lifting where there is no headroom for a hand chain to hang.
This is the most popular and most economical piece of manual lifting equipment in our programme. Safety, reliability and quality control are what the design is built around, and the drop forged hooks are specially designed to bend slowly to warn of excessive overload.

How To Use The Lever Hoist Safely
- Check the nameplate capacity and inspect the chain, hooks and latches before use.
- Set the direction selector fully to lift or lower before working the lever.
- Take up the slack by hand with the free chaining function before applying the lever.
- Operate the lever through its full stroke rather than short jerky movements.
- Never extend the lever with a bar to increase the force.
- Release the load fully before setting the direction selector to neutral.
