What The Plain Trolley Is
A plain trolley turns a fixed hoist into a travelling one. The hoist hangs from the trolley eye, and the load is moved along the beam by pushing it. There is no hand chain and no gearing, which keeps the trolley light, short and inexpensive.
The contour wheel profile gives maximum contact on both flat and tapered beams, and the beam width is set by changing the number of spacers, so one trolley covers a range of beam sizes rather than a single section.
